Sustainability and Environment Protection 

Nothing quite beats growing your own crops and eating them! 

Our preschoolers at Bedok Methodist Preschool learnt about sustainability and protecting the environment in a series of hands-on activities. They sprouted sunflower seeds in their classrooms by placing them into a seed sprouting machine. The children took turns to change the water daily and observed the full process of growth from seeds to vegetables. They even recycled the overnight water to water the plants in the school garden!

The children learnt to grow vegetables without any pesticides or harmful chemicals that contribute to environmental pollution. It was meaningful and fun learning indeed !
