Art exploration is not only fun, relaxing and entertaining for children, but also promotes their creativity, enhances cognitive ability and develops fine & gross motor skills. Methodist Preschool Services is pleased to partner with 360 Education to provide BIG ART Enrichment Programme specially designed for N2, K1 & K2 children.

Course Objectives and Desired Outcomes

Appreciate
BIG ART Enrichment Programme will bring children through a journey to appreciate visual arts and different art styles and techniques using references from famous artists. Children’s love for art will be inspired in the process.
Learn
Students will learn famous artists’ techniques by exploring a wide range of art materials and mediums based on different themes each term. They will get to paint like famous artists like Vincent Van Gogh, Picasso , Monet and more. Where relevant, short videos and techniques by our partner, renowned TV artist Oistein Kristiansen will be incorporated in the lessons.
Imagine & Create
Our engaging classes will fuel children’s imagination and develop their creativity as they take inspiration from famous artists’ paintings and create their very own Cubism, Abstract Impressionism or Modern masterpieces.

Term 3 : Starry Junior Artist (Vincent Van Gogh)

Develop imagination and creativity through Visual Arts and famous artist Van Gogh
Explore Van Gogh’s art styles and techniques
Appreciate various art forms, brush strokes, use of bold colours and blending techniques

Term 4 : Amazing Klee (Paul Klee)

Objectives

Develop imagination and creativity through Visual Arts and famous artist Paul Klee
Explore Paul Klee’s art styles and techniques using lines and colours

About Oistein Kristiansen

Where relevant, short videos and techniques by our partner, renowned TV artist Oistein Kristiansen will be incorporated in the lessons.

Kristiansen is a Norwegian-born cartoonist, caricaturist, painter and multi-talented designer.

Sincer 1991, Oistein has been active in Asia with children through education programmes, television and merchandising. He is a famous television personality in Asia and Europe with shows running regularly to an audience of over 100 million viewers.

A key characteristic in all his work is his passion to teach the whole world to draw, so that each of us can free up and utilise creativity through drawing. 360 Education is a proud partner of Oistein Kristiansen and will feature his short videos and techniques in our lessons where relevant.
